COMMERCE, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 01/20/10 -- iTeknik Holding Corporation (PINKSHEETS: ITKH), a technological innovator in the telecommunications industry, announced today that its Send Global subsidiary has implemented a proprietary web application that allows customers to recharge their prepaid calling account by texting from their mobile device.
Send Global software engineers have developed this proprietary web application to allow customers the ability to recharge their prepaid account balance by texting the keyword "recharge" to a specified text number. The customer's account will be automatically recharged using the customer's credit card on file. If the customer's credit card has expired or there is no current card on file, then the customer will receive an automated text message with the Company's customer service number.
"This texting application allows our customers to complete mobile e-commerce transactions from the convenience of their cellular phone. Our competitors require that users recharge from an internet-based website," stated Mike West, General Manager of Send Global Corporation. "Giving our customers the ability to recharge via texting makes customer purchases even easier and helps us retain and grow existing business."
"Smart Phone technology and mobile web applications are the future," stated Jeffrey Lauzon, President of iTeknik Holding Corporation. "Our goal is to use these technologies to provide innovative, user-friendly ways for our customers to manage their mobile lifestyle which will increase our revenue."
